UFC flyweight Jessica Eye was left with a horrific gash on her forehead against Jennifer Maia which bled profusely.
The former world title challenger faced the Brazilian in the early part of the UFC 264 prelims in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.

Eye started the fight well, but was left gushing blood before the end of the second round after a sickening clash of heads.
Although accidental, the injury began to open up widely and fans in the stadium gasped audibly when the camera panned to the Ohio-native’s forehead.
Eye managed to hear the klaxon at the end of round three to signal the end of the fight, with blood still clearly blurring her vision, yet she felt she had done enough to win the bout.
Three judges sitting cage-side failed to see that and Maia ended up getting the decision as they scored it 29-28, 29-28, 30-27 respectively.

Victory over Eye has seen Maia bounce back from her unanimous decision defeat to UFC flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko.
Eye, meanwhile, is now riding a three-fight, which includes losses to Scotland's Joanne Calderwood and Cynthia Cavillo.
